A space conceived as an exhibition space designed and equipped with the latest technology. The Félix Revello de Toro Museum has a permanent exhibition of the works of the famous portraitist and painter from Malaga with more than one hundred oils, sketches and drawings.
Félix Revello de Toro Museum exhibits 117 of the 132 works that form part of the artist’s collection, rotating the others by rations of space. Undoubtedly, one of the best known portrait artists for his paintings and for the interpretation of the female figure with a great seductive elegance.
The collection is grouped by themes and techniques exposing an “Revello intimo” with his first works, portraits of his family environment, still lifes or everyday objects. His own portrait stands out here, as well as others such as that of his mother, his first wife and his daughter Carmen.
In “Figuras femeninas” a great evolution of Revello de Toro can be appreciated from the sixties to the beginning of the 21st century.
Rooms 5 and 6 contain sketches and drawings by the painter. Finally, the exhibition ends with the work “Sumida en el sueño”, one of the most beloved works of the artist Revello de Toro.
A unique place to house the works of the portraitist, the workshop house of the 17th century sculptor Pedro Mena, organised around a central courtyard with covered galleries, highlighting the marble columns and the original carpentry.
